CONDOm Piñata

SCHOOL WORK ~ fully concepted, designed, art directed, and assembled this project.

Just like it sounds.
Here my aim was to once again take a pre-existing + familiar object that can visualize experiences of sexuality in a new way.
(Aka I needed another object to fill the imaginary quota in my head of the the number of pieces I NEEDED to present.)

I pretty quickly made a connection between the form and function of a broken condom and a broken pinata. Both can be present in times where fun is taking place and both spill their contents when broken. *buh-dum-tsss*

I’m probably a bit biased and/or just have a terrible sense of humor, but I found this to a perfect visual parallel to use as a piece discussing just how much potential there it to be the recipient of an accidental pregnancy when your birth control fails.

Fun Fact: ~1900 tiny plastic babies were used.
